From diamond seed to jewel
Before you can shine with your Aurore piece of jewelry, it has passed through many skilled hands. Discover the customization that preceded the creation of your jewel.
1. Diamond in the rough
In the lab, a tiny carbon seed grows into a diamond in the rough.
2. Diamond selection
After 'harvesting' the lab diamonds, each diamond is critically examined and assessed by one of our experts. Although the diamonds were created in a lab, they are not just flawless diamonds. Just like with natural diamonds, the lab diamonds each grow in their own way, making each one unique. The rough diamonds are sorted by size, clarity and color. Only the diamonds that meet our strict selection criteria are ultimately selected and incorporated into our jewellery.
3. Diamond sharpening
After the finest diamonds have been selected, the rough stones are cut and polished. This is one of the most important steps in the process, because it determines the 'Cut', or the appearance of the diamond. Thanks to an optimal cut, the diamond reflects light and starts to 'live'.
4. Certification
The cut diamonds are assessed on the basis of the 4 c's by an independent institute such as IGI. They provide our diamonds with a special laser engraving on the girdle, so that we can guarantee the authenticity of our diamonds. All stones above 0.30 ct. are provided with an official diamond certificate, which describes the properties of the diamond.
5. Design
Our creative designers process the diamonds into a unique piece of jewelry. We always keep the focus on the special gemstone, which is central to the design.
6. Manufacture
With an eye for detail, the jewel eventually comes to life in our workshop. Our goldsmiths bring the luxurious materials together and your Aurore piece of jewelery is born.
7. Packing
Before we send the ring to you, we do a final quality check to see if it meets our high standards. Then we pack it in a luxurious jewelry box.
